AFRO-POP star Takura has angered a section of his fans after he announced, for the umpteeth time, that he has dropped his last musical project.
The singer made the announcement after releasing a ten-track album titled “Pariah.”
He said he was retiring from making music after quitting four times in the past.
The ‘Handiroore’ hit maker made the announcement on his social media pages.
His battle with mental health and drug addiction was one of the reasons he said was affecting his career.
“Just dropped my last project on YouTube titled ‘Pariah’, go run it up,” he said on Instagram.
“The album has 10 songs and some feature singers like Nutty O and the Zimpraise choir.”
Takura announced he was retiring from his music last year in October.
He then went on to release an EP.
Now, his fans don’t know if this is just another marketing gimmick.
Below are some of their comments:
“Last year Takura made a shocking announcement on his social media pages saying that he was retiring from music and he also said the same statement early this year. However, the artist hasn’t stopped making music. − Badness king

Takura has released a masterpiece of an album. Quite a good collection, quality vocals and rich lyrics with a touch of mesmerising melodies. Let’s push this top-tier local content but we’re tired of him quitting. − Milz

Mike Rich, his manager, needs to tell us what is really going on with him because every 3 months he announces that he’s quitting. We need answers. − Bongs

You can not keep announcing that you are quitting for the 100th time but keep on making great music. He clearly needs someone to help him become we love him but we’re tired Takura. − Precious

Takura is the only international artist in this genre. You can’t compare him with the ones like Boi Shona or Chillmaster but boy what’s really going on with you? We’re tired of your attention seeking nonsense. − Freddy king
