TAMY Moyo says the way many men break the hearts of women was what drove her to release her new song ‘‘Unobhowa.’’

She brought her song to Girlfest at Old Hararians on Saturday.

She said many of the men who break women’s hearts do not know what they want in life and, in the process, end up hurting their partners.

“These men easily hurt us, they do things that break our hearts.

“They lie for no reason and rather than telling us that they don’t want us anymore they always choose to string us along.”

Tamy said it was important that ladies should have their own spaces to interact and enjoy each other’s company.

“I’m overjoyed and so grateful for the performance.

‘‘I’m thankful to my wonderful team who work tirelessly to help in putting up a good show.

“I was very excited to see people’s reaction to our act and to know that they were enjoying every moment of the performance.

“The crowd was a great audience and a very engaging audience,” she said.

Tamy brought the house down with songs like ‘‘Mamero’’ featuring Silent Killer, ‘‘Husiku Hwese,’’ a remix featuring Mark Ngwazi and many more.

She shared the stage with DJ Mimi, DJ Pretty Gangsta, DJ King Her, Quonfuzed, Chillmaster, Kae Chaps, Dexter Rapper and Dad (Uganda), ExQ, and Black Diamond (RSA).

Dexter Rapper and Dad first rose to prominence following the circulation of a viral video in which they rhythmically moved in sync, much to the delight of viewers.

Clad in simple shirts and trousers, Dexter and his father exuded both confidence and charisma on stage.

Girlfest Zimbabwe was established in 2019 to create a safe space for women to come together, relax and enjoy good music, food, and company.

Over the years, it has grown into a movement that is providing a platform for ladies to have fun and network.
