GOSPEL musician Tatenda Mahachi is set to host a live recording and album launch on October 10 at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare.
The event will feature special guest, Dr Winnie Mashaba, one of South Africa’s celebrated gospel voices, marking her second appearance in Zimbabwe at Mahachi’s invitation.
The two previously collaborated in 2022 on the well-received single A Friend.
“It is important for us as artists not only to release music but also to create our own platforms where people can come together and experience God in an intimate way.”
Mahachi expressed his excitement about the upcoming event.
“Hosting my own shows gives me the opportunity to connect directly with worshippers and create an atmosphere where lives can be touched.”
On Dr Winnie Mashaba’s return to perform in Harare, he added:
“I am truly honoured to welcome Dr Mashaba back to Zimbabwe. “Her ministry through music is powerful, and I know her presence will make this evening even more special.
“Audiences can look forward to a great night of prayer and worshipthrough song.”
The new album will feature some of Mahachi’s most loved singles, including Muri Mwari and Ndine Simba, a collaboration with Purple Pride Family, along with his well-received collaboration with Freeman HKD titled Namata.
Mahachi said that more supporting acts will be revealed in the coming weeks, building anticipation for what is shaping up to be one of the most significant gospel music gatherings of the year.
