Musician Tendai Dembo is gearing up to perform at this year’s Heroes Musical Gala, scheduled for tomorrow at Kujeke Growth Point in Hwedza, Mashonaland East Province.
The event is part of the national commemorations to honour Zimbabwe’s liberation heroes.
Dembo expressed his enthusiasm for contributing to the nation through his music.

As the son of legendary musician Leonard Dembo, Tendai feels a deep connection to the heroes who fought for the country’s freedom, saying,
“These are national events and its national duty we are performing in our own way helping build the nation brick by brick like the President said as a musician that’s my way of contributing to the nation and I’m trying to encourage unity amongst people

“As an heir to my father’s music i feel the same goes for the heroes they fought and build something solid that will last forever which needs to be preserved and by supoorting the galas and national events we will doing just that
“Collaborations are open nothing planned yet but expect anything for we are always prepared as Barura Express,” he said.

Other performers will include Clemence Magwaza, Sasha Madhuve, Mark Ngwazi, Andy Muridzo, Allan Chimbetu, Mathias Mhere, Shantel Sithole, Jah Master, Clememce Magwaza, Jays Marabini, Machanic Manyeruke, Simon Mutambi, ZPCS Band, Mr Gray and Mainato
Energetic hype-man DJ Fantan, along with his Chillspot Family clique, including DJ Level and Ribhe, will also take the stage in Hwedza. Nduge Yut, who has gained recognition through this crew, will be joined by Jah Master and rising star Nisha Ts.
The event aims to promote unity and national pride through music, poetry, and dance.
