THE POLYGAMIST SOARS TO NUMBER THREE IN THE WORLD

H-Metro Reporter

THE Polygamist continues to break records and yesterday it was ranked the third best show on Netflix in the world.

The production company, Stained Glass TV, which produced the hit Netflix series, which is based on a book written by a Zimbabwean author, could only say ‘THANK YOU’ to the world.

“At this point we’re running out of ways to say THANK YOU,” the company said on X.

“The Polygamist isn’t just topping charts at home anymore!

“We’re now the #3 show globally on Netflix and the #1 show in 16 countries across Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.

“We appreciate you!”

TV Mzansi also posted on X.

“The Polygamyst is still number one on Netflix Nigeria.

“The Polygamist is now trending third worldwide on Netflix and it is No.1 in 16 countries.

“The Polygamist has climbed to no. 3 on Netflix Worldwide. The World is officially watching.”

Bsfana Mthembu, who has closely been following the show’s spectacular rise, also posted on X.

“The Polygamist continues its incredible global run on Netflix, climbing to #3 globally.

“The show has also climbed to the #1 spot in Belgium, France, Hungary, Luxembourg while maintaining its #1 position in South Africa, Jamaica, Nigeria, Kenya, Bahamas, Romania and Trinidad & Tobago.

“It also remains a Top 10 hit across multiple territories: Colombia (#2), Dominican Republic (#2), Panama (#2), Poland (#2), Slovakia (#2), UAE (#2), Brazil (#3), Czech Republic (#3), Honduras (#3), Serbia (#3), Ecuador (#4), Paraguay (#4), El Salvador (#4), Spain (#4), Switzerland (#4), Canada (#5), Netherlands (#5), Mexico (#5), Uruguay (#5), Venezuela (#5), Chile (#5), Croatia (#5), Cyprus (#5), Costa Rica (#5), Ukraine (#5).”

Another X user also tweeted:

“Stained Glass Productions drama ‘The Polygamist’ is now the 3rd biggest TV show on @netflix WORLDWIDE.

“The supernovela is still #1 in South Africa since the day of release. It’s also #1 in 15 countries including France, Belgium, Nigeria, Romania, Mauritius, Kenya, Jamaica, and more.”

Another one noted that the surge has been sudden and impressive.

“The Polygamist is not even 10 days since premier. I know it will surpass Blood and Water.

“Maybe I am biased because I couldn’t enjoy Blood and Water. Only watched a few episodes and canned it.”

The Netfllix show is based on the book written by Zimbabwean author Sue Nyathi.

Even health authorities in Gauteng have added their voice.

“You’ve seen #ThePolygamist and saw how Jonasi went out… just know, that is not just TV drama, it is real life consequences.

“Multiple partners without protection increase your risk of STIs and HIV. Ignoring treatment does not make it go away, it makes it worse.

“Knowing your status is power. Using protection is responsibility. Taking your treatment is survival.

“If you stopped treatment, come back, reinitiate and stay on it to achieve an undetectable viral load. This means living a healthier life with zero risk of passing HIV on to others.

“Remember, prevention options such as PrEP and Lenacapavir can help protect against HIV, but condoms are still essential to protect against STIs like gonorrhoea, syphilis, herpes, chlamydia and more, as well as unwanted pregnancies.”
