THIS is the woman who is facing three counts of human trafficking after she was allegedly found in possession of three children suspected to have been trafficked from South Africa into Zimbabwe.
Yemurai Gandari, 35, arrived at the Harare Magistrates Courts yesterday and was not asked to plead when she appeared before magistrate Jessie Kufa.
The State alleges that on Saturday, police received a tip-off that Gandari had allegedly trafficked three victims from South Africa into Zimbabwe.
Acting on the tip-off, detectives arrested her while she was in the company of the three children.
According to the allegations, two of the children are South African nationals aged eight months and were allegedly not being breastfed at the time.
The third child is a Zimbabwean national aged four. Prosecutors allege that Gandari failed to produce identification documents for the children when asked by police. The court heard that she allegedly entered Zimbabwe with the children on May 5 this year.
