HOLD on to your lobola receipts — jazz maestro Jeys Marabini is back with his spiciest album yet!
Titled Umjolo, the 11th studio offering from the iconic Bulawayo crooner is set to drop on 31 July.
Jeys swears it’s his boldest, deepest and most emotional project ever.
Packed with 10 sizzling tracks like Ngezama Lobolo, Yini Lo Mona and Themba Lami Likuwe, the album dives headfirst into the chaos of love, heartbreak, culture and everything in between.
“This album is a journey,” said Jeys. “It’s about life, love, disappointments, and faith — Umjolo in all its madness!”
And he’s not kidding — the man recorded in four different studios, roped in a small army of producers and musicians, and even shot visuals for every single track, with top filmmaker Matesu Dube behind the lens.
From Oktopas’ magical keys to the soulful backup of Gazi Elimnyama, this album is set to stir lively debate.
Jeys promises Umjolo will take fans on an emotional rollercoaster — one they’ll want to ride again and again.
Brace yourselves, Umjolo is coming… and it’s personal!
