TONDERAI Ndiraya’s teams don’t usually concede a lot of goals.

But, on Saturday, it needed a Dynamos team, which had struggled for goals all season, to become the first side to score more than two goals against Scottland in the Castle Lager Premiership.

The Scotts conceded three goals in single match for the first time since their arrival in the top-flight league.

Until now, only two clubs – Greenfuel and FC Platinum – had scored more than a goal against the Scotts.

The last time Ndiraya conceded three goals as a coach in a game was on October 18, 2023, when he was still with Simba Bhora in a match against CAPS United.

DeMbare have the second weakest strikeforce in the league, when one takes into consideration the number of goals every team has scored in the marathon.

Only Kwekwe United have scored fewer goals than the Glamour Boys.

At one stage of the season, Dynamos had the weakest strikeforce as they had scored only six goals.

Scottland had the best defence in the league, going into the weekend, having conceded 15 goals.

Champions Simba Bhora, who drew 0-0 against Greenfuel at the weekend, have conceded 16 goals.

“You have to give credit to Dynamos. We knew their fans would give them a massive boost, they always do, and that energy was a decisive factor today,” said Ndiraya.

“I think we must give it to both sets of supporters for coming in their numbers and rallying behind their teams.

“The players also came to the party and delivered an exciting match. It’s great to see such a huge crowd and it’s a testament of the impact that Scottland has had in this league.”
