RAPPER Tony Grin is set to release his sixth album titled ‘Contribution 30’ next month.
Tony Grin has also launched his own music genre dubbed ‘Water’ which will be explored on his latest offering.
According to the rapper, Water is a sound type that is not limited to rules of pioneer genres such as dancehall or Afrobeat but is defined by what sounds and feels good to the artist.
“I know it’s risky having to launch my own genre without any back-up from other artists in the industry but I’m willing to test the waters.
“I will release the first two lead singles which explore the genre titled ‘Going Far’ and ‘High On Dollars’.
“The rest of the album will be eight tracks and it’s a celebration of my 10 years in the music industry.
“I self produced this album through tutorials and exploring the digital audio workstation.
“I also directed and edited all of the videos on the album.
“I did this because I once worked with renowned producers and invested a lot of money to hardly recoup the losses encountered,” said Tony Grin.
