Treasury invites public to contribute to 2027 National Budget

TREASURY has invited the public and stakeholders to submit contributions for consideration in the formulation of the 2027 National Budget.

In a public notice, the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion said Treasury had commenced the budget formulation process for the 2027 fiscal year following the launch of the 2027 Budget Strategy Paper on July 30, 2026.

The Budget Strategy Paper outlines proposed policy measures for the coming year.

Treasury said the budget formulation process was being undertaken in line with Statutory Instrument 135 of 2019, the Public Finance Management (General) Regulations, 2019, and SI 153 of 2026, the Public Finance Management (General) (Amendment) Regulations, 2026 (No. 2).

“Given your critical role in our collective effort to achieve the NDS2 performance targets and Vision 2030 in line with the President’s Clarion Call of ‘Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo/ ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanikazi balo’, Treasury hereby requests your input into this important policy document,” reads the notice.

Submissions should be sent to [email protected] by October 30, 2026, to allow sufficient time for consolidation.
