Beitbridge-based Sungura musician Bernard Tshibemuda and his band, Uvuwa Na U Ima Express, have released their eighth album, titled Mbingano.

The album features seven tracks: U Lata, Uya Mpengisa, Mbingano, Wa Mashudu (performed by Faneli Muimbi), Matanzu featuring Zozo, U Taliwa and Tshifhinga.

Produced by Mbangiseni Mphaga, Mbingano carries social messages. Tshibemuda said the project speaks directly to some of the challenges affecting communities today.
“The album is counselling people about drug abuse and encouraging them to work hard, hustle, and behave well so they can receive 100% protection from our Lord,” he said.

“It also promotes good conduct in relationships. No one is perfect under the sun, so we must treat our partners with kindness and respect. You cannot expect love from someone you do not care for.” – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
