VP Mohadi tours exhibitions ahead of MEL Week official launch

VICE PRESIDENT Dr Kembo Mohadi has toured various stands where organisations are exhibiting a wide range of products and services ahead of the official opening of the the 2026 Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Week.

The event is being hosted by the Office of the President and Cabinet in partnership with the United Nations and development partners under the theme ‘Advancing Vision 2030, SDGs and Agenda 2063 Through Public Sector Service Delivery: Transformation of MEL and Data Systems’.

The week-long event brings together Government institutions, provinces, local authorities, academia, civil society, the private sector, MEL professionals and international partners.

The 2026 MEL Week is focusing on six thematic areas covering local governance and accountable service delivery, adaptive MEL for complex contexts, strengthening data systems for decision-making, reimagining MEL in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, decolonising evidence and advancing Made-in-Africa approaches, as well as harnessing innovation for young and emerging evaluators.

Participants will also receive training in modern approaches to monitoring and evaluation and data analytics.
