THE body of the late Colonel (Retired) Patron Khutshwekhaya has arrived at Mbizo Barracks where a military funeral parade is being held in his honour.
The ceremony has drawn members of the uniformed forces, family, friends and colleagues who gathered to pay their last respects to the late senior officer.

The chief mourner at the parade is the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Chief of Staff Quartermaster, Simo Maseko.
The parade is expected to feature full military honours in recognition of Colonel (Rtd) Khutshwekhaya’s service and contribution to the country during his time in the armed forces.
Born in Tsholotsho in 1951, Col (Rtd) Khutshwekhaya left Zimbabwe in 1976 to join the armed struggle. He trained in Tanzania and the former Soviet Union before being deployed to the Zambezi escarpment in areas including Kariba, Chirundu and Kanyemba.
After independence, he joined the ZNA and rose through the ranks after completing training at Inkomo Barracks.
