Bulawayo came alive on Saturday night as local acts proved their mettle ahead of the headline performances by Saintfloew and Nisha Ts at a local nightclub.
Before the chart-toppers even set foot on stage, it was the city’s own talent that ensured the crowd was already on its feet.
From the moment gates opened, energy pulsed through the venue. DJ Dosto kicked off proceedings with a set that blended local favourites, setting a festive tone that carried into the night. Eazy Vert kept the tempo high, drawing cheers with crowd-pleasers like Asibe Mnandi by MJ Sings and Murphy Cubic, and Nitefreak’s Masterclass.
MC duo FFF Molfy and Nono fed off the crowd’s enthusiasm, firing up fans with anthems such as High by Imvi, Halungede, and Jah Prayzah’s Chiremerera. Their synergy with the audience was electric, by the time Mlungu Omnyama hit the decks, spontaneous dance circles had erupted, embodying the city’s trademark spirit of unity and rhythm.
Rising stars Reymar, Ma9nine, and Ninety6 elevated the night even further with standout live sets. DJ Gadaffi delivered one of the evening’s strongest performances, bridging each act seamlessly with a mix that had fans chanting his name.
Ninety6 created a fan-favourite moment when he brought two lucky revellers on stage during his hit Gumba Kumba, before teaming up with Ma9nine for their collaboration 996, a performance that drew loud applause and left fans calling for an encore.
“It’s really nice seeing the crowd vibing to my music. Bulawayo really has stars,” Ninety6 said after his performance, applauding his fellow performers.
By the time Nisha Ts and Saintfloew finally stepped onto the stage, the atmosphere was already charged. Nisha Ts delivered a heartfelt set and Saintfloew closed the show with his signature intensity, performing Wicked Weekend, Silas Mavende and Hera to thunderous applause.
But it was the groundwork laid by the local supporting acts that made his grand entrance feel like a victory lap.
As dawn broke and the music faded, one thing was clear, the night belonged not only to Saintfloew and Nisha Ts, but to every artiste who helped light the fire.
