The Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) was turned into a holy ground on Sunday as Ekhaya Worship Festival roared into life — and Mzansi, it was nothing short of heavenly chaos!
Hall 3 was jam-packed, with thousands of spirited worshippers flooding the venue for the launch of the newest sensation on the gospel calendar. From the look of things, Ekhaya is here to stay.
The atmosphere was electric. The crowd was massive and the music was divine.
Social media went ablaze as Zimbabwe’s A-listers;Yayah Good Vibes, Madam Boss, and Kevin The Wedding Planner, showed up and showed out, posing for selfies and soaking in the soul-stirring sounds.
The worship train was led by top-tier gospel royalty: Vocal Ex, Mai Mwamuka, Omega Khunou, Canaan Nyathi, Once More Six, and Mkhululi Bhebhe— each act tearing down the spiritual roof with praise and power.
In the spotlight was festival host and gospel maestro Everton Mlalazi, who is doubling the blessings by celebrating his belated birthday at the event. Mlalazi is set to close the night with a high-voltage performance that promises to shake heaven’s gates.
Organisers are already popping the holy champagne, calling the turnout “a clear sign” that Zimbabweans are starved for spiritual unity, big worship energy, and platforms to push gospel artistry to the next level.
If day one is anything to go by, Ekhaya Worship Festival is making history!
