Wet outfield delay Zim, Scotland toss

ZIMBABWE will be keeping their fingers crossed that the weather improves to get a result in their opening ICC Under cricket World Cup match against Scotland at Takashinga.

The toss for the match, which was supposed to start at 9:30am (CAT) on Thursday, has been delayed due to a wet outfield.

Zimbabwe are in group C along with with Scotland, England and Pakistan.

A win against Scotland will give the hosts a good chance to qualify for the next round, given England Pakistan could be an uphill task.

But given that teams carry points, wins and NRR secured against fellow super six teams, it will also be important for Zimbabwe to get something from the tough matches. -Zimpapers Sports Hub
