WHERE IS THIS MAN? . . . Zim man missing for SIX months in SA

A 30-YEAR-OLD Zimbabwean man, Emmanuel Simango, has been missing in South Africa since February 21 this year.

He was last seen at the corner of Rebecca and Church Street in Pretoria West, South Africa, where he was waiting for a taxi around 10pm.

His aunt Julia Simango, who is based in Zimbabwe, told H-Metro:

“We hear reports that he was last seen waiting for a taxi after leaving a friend. His friend said he left him at the corner of the street and that was the last anyone saw him.”

Julia added that Emmanuel’s wife, Privilege Kudzingo, tried to contact him during that fateful night.

“She attempted to call him before midnight. His phone rang initially but, after midnight, the call went straight into voicemail.”

Privilege then reached out to Loice Simango, Emmanuel’s sister.

“She was in panic, saying she felt something terrible had happened to him.

“She claimed to have searched everywhere, hospitals, mortuaries and police stations – but there was no sign of him,” said Loice.

Loice filed a missing person report at the Pretoria West Police Station.

“But then, Privilege, herself ‘disappeared’ soon after. The police are waiting for her to come in and give her statement.

“They believe she has vital information,” Julia noted. Julia described what she was wearing the last time he was seen.

“He was wearing a maroon Vans t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and a bucket hat. These details might help in the search.”

Friends and family are now combing through social media for any clues or sightings.

The situation feels increasingly desperate.

“We don’t know if there was any foul play involved. His friends are not saying much and the fact that Privilege has ‘disappeared’ raises many questions,” said Julia.

“We were also told that he had an argument with her the night before he went missing, which adds to our concerns.

Authorities in South Africa are urging anyone with information about the missing man or his wife to come forward.

“Every detail matters in this investigation,” they said.

“Some friends have claimed Privilege may have returned to Zimbabwe, but this has not been confirmed.

“The family kindly appeals to the public for any leads that may help unravel this troubling mystery.

“They are seeking information to assist in the search and bring closure to this painful situation.

“If you have any information, please contact the Pretoria West Police Station at 077 463 2714 or 078 410 7456, or reach out to Aunty Julia Simango at 077 463 2714,” said Julia.
