Gafa rapindira! Zimdancehall powerhouse Winky D has been confirmed for this year’s Bulawayo Shutdown, scheduled for December 27.

Renowned for his ability to command crowds, Winky D has become a regular headliner at the annual event.

He will join former Teargas member KO, who is expected to bring his signature Rap and Skhanda Nation flair, as well as Amapiano sensation Young Stunna. He will also share the stage with a strong roster of Zimbabwean talent, including Noluntu J, Fab G Mshanakagogo, Bhila, Ma9nine, Insimbi ZeZhwane, Silent Killer, Jnr Spragga, Hulengende, Chillmaster, and rising star Ngwere Diki at the Ubuntu concert.

Local DJs, including DJ Eugy, Nospa, Keezy, and Prince Eskhosini, will also entertain fans with their mixing skills.

One of the event organisers, Jordan Dube, hinted that more international acts are expected to be revealed soon.
“When people talk, we listen. We believe in giving music fans what they want so they can enjoy the experience with their loved ones. Already, we’ve announced several local artistes along with Winky D, KO, and Young Stunna,” said Dube.

“We’re still finalising more names, considering who will have the most appeal to Bulawayo audiences. More international and local acts will be unveiled soon.”
