YADAH became the third team to be promoted into the Premier Soccer League after their victory against Masvingo United in a Zifa Eastern Region Division One match at The Heart Stadium yesterday.

First half goals by Saungweme and Bero secured the victory Yadah needed to go beyond the reach of second-placed Deportivo La Murambinda, whose season ended yesterday with a 2-0 win at Buffaloes.

Yadah visit Green Fuel at the weekend for their final match.

The “Miracle Boys” are returning to the top flight after just one season in Division One and coach Kudakwashe Masaraure was happy with the progress.

“I am very excited. l have been waiting for this day since the start of the season and it’s a big day for me. The boys did well and l am happy for the team and our patron Prophet Walter Magaya,” said Masaraure.

Masvingo United coach Patrick Mandizha was disappointed with how his players wasted chances and believes there is room to learn.

“We did well especially in the second half and with lucky we could have easily won. The boys are playing very well and l look up to next season.

“Congratulations to Yadah, they fought a good fight,” said Mandizha.

Yadah join Hwange (Southern Region) and Blanket Mine (Central Region) as three of the four teams to join the 2027 Premier Soccer League while the remaining slot will be a tussle between Harare City and Black Rhinos in the Northern Region Soccer League.

The winner of the NRSL will be decided this weekend.
