MISS International Zimbabwe, Yollanda Chimbarami, is excited after finally meeting Andrea Rubio of Venezuela, who was crowned Miss International 2023.
She has described her as a humble, down-to-earth, and fun-loving person.
“Finally got to meet André, Miss International 2023. She’s honestly the sweetest, goofy, funniest, and so down to earth.
“Different flags, one family. Different cultures, one heartbeat.
“This is the sisterhood of Miss International,” Yollanda posted on her Facebook page.
Reflecting on her journey so far, the 26-year-old said she appreciated the opportunities to learn and grow.
“The competition has been incredible so far, taking in the beauty of Japan and being grateful for moments like these and the journey that brought me here.
“I’ve gotten the opportunity to make new friends and connect with so many amazing girls from around the world.
“I’m truly humbled and honoured to be here, representing Zimbabwe with pride,” she said.
The Miss International pageant, scheduled for November 27 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, is renowned for its focus on cultural exchange and global unity.
Contestants are ambassadors of peace and understanding, engaging in charity work, cultural events, and sub-contests throughout the host country.
Over 50 contestants from across the globe will participate, allowing Yollanda to showcase Zimbabwe on the international stage.
