A YOUTH-LED movement is fighting demons which are dragging young people to engage in crime, early marriages and substance abuse following the launch of God’s Blueprint Boot Camp.
The inaugural God’s Blueprint Boot Camp was nothing short of ground-breaking, as young people from across the country converged for a life-transforming weekend.
The camp became a melting pot of faith, fun and purpose as Generation Z came together under one vision, ‘‘To Discover Their True Identity in Christ.’’
Spearheaded by Albertt Mtengwa, under the Albertt Mtengwa NextGen Movement, the initiative seeks to raise a God-fearing generation equipped to live with purpose and passion.
For Mtengwa, a youth pastor and ordained minister, seeing the vision come alive was a dream come true.
“This is my calling to see young people discover who they are in Christ and to create a platform where they are empowered, inspired and transformed.
“We are witnessing young hearts opening up and sharing their stories.
“The weekend was packed with a unique blend of ministry and youth-driven activities, making the camp both spiritually enriching and youthfully vibrant.
“We even had attendees from as far as China and the United Kingdom,” he said.
Renowned ministers and friends of the vision, such as Tembalami, Pastor G, Pastor Vusa Gumede and Pastor Kuda Chemhuru, ministered powerfully.
“But, it wasn’t all sermons and sessions, we also had mud pools and team-building activities led by coach TJ Maposhere.
“We had a bonfire worship night that had the entire camp singing under the stars.
“We had an outdoor night movie that gave the gathering a youthful, laid-back vibe.
“This perfect blend of fun and faith made the Boot Camp resonate deeply with Generation Z, a generation that longs for authenticity, community and encounters with God beyond church walls,” said Mtengwa.
The Boot Camp was also a hub for creatives.Hosted at Habitation of Hope, this first camp is only the beginning.
Mtengwa, who is also the founder of the renowned gospel outfit Purple Pride Family, promises that the movement will continue to expand.
“Before the 2026 edition of God’s Blueprint Boot Camp, a series of one-day youth events will be rolled out across Zimbabwe.
“These gatherings will provide young people with opportunities to network, be inspired, and experience refreshing encounters with God — ensuring the fire ignited at the camp keeps burning.
“The launch of God’s Blueprint Boot Camp has set a new standard for youth ministry in Zimbabwe.
“It was more than a camp — it was a cultural and spiritual shift for Gen Z believers hungry for purpose, authenticity and community.”
