ZANU-PF Matabeleland South leadership has commended the President and First Secretary of the party, Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, for equipping Central Committee members with vehicles — a development they say will enhance their capacity to serve communities effectively.

President Mnangagwa recently handed over vehicles to Central Committee members as part of efforts to strengthen party mobilisation and grassroots engagement.

Addressing recipients in Harare, the President emphasised that the vehicles remain the property of Zanu PF and should be used to advance the party’s mission.

Speaking during a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting, Zanu PF Matabeleland South Provincial Chairperson, Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu, expressed gratitude to the President for his continued support in strengthening party structures.

“This is the first time in my years in the party that Central Committee members have been capacitated this much, and as Matabeleland South, we are grateful. We will continue supporting our President. With these vehicles, we have been equipped to work harder in developing our province and safeguarding our revolutionary gains,” said Cde Ndlovu.

Zanu PF Politburo Member, Cde Abednico Ncube, underscored the importance of using the newly distributed vehicles for party mobilisation, describing the gesture as evidence of President Mnangagwa’s people-centred leadership.

“These vehicles are not for personal use — they are for party business, and we are grateful to our President, His Excellency Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa. He is a development-oriented and people-centred leader, and we are the foot soldiers tasked with implementing his vision,” said Cde Ncube.

Beneficiaries said the gesture will go a long way in boosting party membership through strengthened grassroots mobilisation.
