ZANU PF will hold a Presidential Fundraising Dinner for the business community to raise funds towards the party’s 23rd Annual People’s Conference scheduled for Chinhoyi next month.
Speaking at a Press conference this afternoon, Zanu PF fundraising chairman responsible for resource mobilisation, Cde Phillip Chiyangwa, confirmed that the party would host the dinner ahead of the conference.
“We met as a fundraising committee to discuss the various issues related to fundraising and other aspects that involve the party and other organs,” he said.
“We want them to come forward and celebrate, together with the President. In your province, please take note that in the coming years our offices expect you not to be left out.
“We will know the targets and the value expected, and as we prepare the short list, we will make a commitment to attend and contribute towards the conference.”
In addition, Cde Chiyangwa said the meeting is primarily to recognise that while fundraising is very important, the party also sets fundraising targets that reflect the support and expectations of the business community.
These targets, he said, are driven by those who support the party.
“We have now decided that there will be a final fundraising meeting for the President with all the other business actors we have probably known,” said Cde Chiyangwa.
“We want to celebrate the peace and tranquillity we have in the country as a result of this meeting. He is also holding a very critical conference this year, which aims to promote and advance self-manifestation and self-actualisation.”
As a party, he said they are inviting all successful business people to attend the Presidential Fundraising dinner on a date to be advised.
Cde Chiyangwa highlighted that it will be an opportunity to interact with the President and thanked him for his contribution towards the growth of their businesses
Speaking at the same press conference, Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa said preparations for the 23rd Zanu PF Annual People’s Conference are progressing well.
“The conference will review implementation of Government programmes linked to party policies and assess progress towards Vision 2030,” he said.
He stated that the ZANU-PF 23rd National People’s Conference is fast approaching, scheduled for October 12 to 17 2026 at the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West Province.
This year’s conference will be held under the theme: “From Resolutions to Results: Consolidating Economic Development and Deepening Empowerment Towards Vision 2030.”
Ambassador Mutsvangwa noted that the significant event promises to be a landmark gathering for party members, as it offers a platform to review the party’s achievements and challenges since the last conference.
“Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness the implementation of President Mnangagwa’s ambitious Vision 2030 and beyond, aimed at transforming Zimbabwe into a middle-income economy by the year 2030” he stated.
During the conference, Ambassador Mutsvangwa stated that participants can expect in-depth discussions on strategies to accelerate economic development, promote investment, and foster a sense of empowerment among citizens.
He highlighted that party leaders will outline concrete steps being taken to translate resolutions into tangible actions that will uplift communities and enhance the well-being of all Zimbabweans.
“The conference will also feature a range of presentations, workshops, and panel discussions, focusing on various sectors, including agriculture, industry, education, and health. The goal of these sessions is to engage stakeholders and encourage collaboration toward achieving national development goals” he stated.
The conference, he said will provide an opportunity for the party to reinforce its commitment to social justice and equality, thereby addressing some of the pressing socio-economic challenges faced by the country.
Party members and the broader community are invited to come together, share ideas, and contribute to a brighter future for Zimbabwe.
