AMANDA Ngcono Nkomo, a proud Zimbabwean-British beauty queen, is set to represent the United Kingdom at the Miss Aura International 2025 pageant in Turkey, with the grand finale set for May 23.
Founded in 2006 by Adnan Seker, Miss Aura International has become one of the most anticipated global beauty events, celebrating the perfect balance of beauty, brains, body and behaviour.
The competition also places a strong emphasis on advocacy, leadership, community service and values which Amanda holds close to her heart.
In an interview with Zimpapers Entertainment Hub, Amanda said she was excited and honoured to represent the UK while staying true to her Zimbabwean roots.
“I’m honoured to be part of this incredible platform, waving both the British and Zimbabwean flags internationally.
“It’s a dream come true to stand on a global stage and represent my heritage with pride,” she said.
Amanda is being guided by her national director, Chenay from Her Pageantry, whom she credits for her unwavering support throughout her preparations.
“Chenay has been phenomenal. Her mentorship and belief in me have given me the confidence to step into this experience fully prepared,” Amanda said.
As part of her journey, Amanda is championing her platform focused on empowering women and girls, a cause she says is more relevant now than ever before.
“This is more than a beauty pageant, it’s a movement. Through Miss Aura, I get to amplify my voice and continue the work I do for women and girls, reminding them that they are powerful, worthy, and capable,” she said.
Amanda also shared her excitement about visiting Turkey, describing it as a beautiful country she’s looking forward to exploring while connecting with fellow contestants from around the world.
With her grace, purpose-driven advocacy and vibrant spirit, Amanda is proving to be a beacon of hope, just as the Miss Aura crown symbolises.
