THE Content Creators Association of Zimbabwe (COCAZ) is preparing to take part in the upcoming Nigeria South Africa Relations (NSAR) 2025 conference.

The high-profile event aims to strengthen collaboration and creative policy across Africa.

The conference is scheduled to take place from July 16th-20th in Johannesburg. Co-founder of COCAZ, Takunda Tapfuma, said the event promises to be a game-changer for the African entertainment industry.

“The main objective is to strengthen collaboration and creative policy across Africa.

“The Actors Guild of Nigeria plans to facilitate collaboration through the roundtable event but specific details on how they plan to achieve this aren’t provided.

“It’s likely they’ll achieve this through discussions, networking opportunities and policy-making.

“By participating in NSAR 2025, the Content Creators Association of Zimbabwe can expect to gain networking opportunities with industry professionals, insights into best practices and policies in the African entertainment industry.

“We can also have potential partnerships or collaborations with Nollywood and South African actors and opportunities to contribute to shaping creative policy across Africa,” he said.

Although the specific themes or topics for NSAR have not been announced, industry insiders speculate that the conference will focus on key areas such as collaboration and partnership-building.

“Unfortunately, the specific themes or topics for NSAR aren’t mentioned. However, given the context, potential topics might include collaboration and partnership-building in the African entertainment industry.

“Industry trends and challenges, talent development and capacity-building,” said Tapfuma.

COCAZ is a Zimbabwean organisation that unites content creators to foster growth, development and collaboration within the industry.

Part of its mission is to provide training, networking opportunities and access to resources for its members while also advocating for their rights and promoting Zimbabwean content globally.

COCAZ recently participated in a cultural exchange programme in Iran and its representatives are planning another visit to Nigeria to promote international cooperation.
