ZIMBABWEAN DJ and music producer, Ashley Black, is gradually becoming a name to reckon with on the international deejaying scene.
The Malaysia-based DJ, who specialises in Afrotech-house and Afrobeats, has become a popular figure on the nightlife and music scene in south east Asia.
He is set to make his debut in Kenya at Muze club tonight.
Muze is one of the best night clubs on the continent.
It holds the distinction of being the only African club to make the DJ Mag’s Top 100 in the world 2025 list.
“I am excited about the Kenya gig, I always enjoy playing for new crowds and I am looking forward to this one.
“It came at a good time as I’m looking forward to my latest release coming on the 27th of June, a track which features Meliha, one of the most prominent Malaysian female vocalists in electronic music.
“The track is called Bigger Than This.
“I look forward to playing the club version at Muze Nairobi for the first time,” he said.
The event is dubbed Kuvulandi and it features other deejays like Cas Da DJ from South Africa, Case, Mayakaze OnlyKagate and Mandy from Kenya.
Kuvulandi has been running for a while at different venues in Nairobi.
After the gig in Kenya, Ashley Black will head to Tunisia and then Bali for more gigs.
