Zimbabwe and Zambia hold Mid-Term Review to strengthen bilateral cooperation

The Mid-Term Review of the 18th Session of the Zimbabwe and Zambia Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation began in Harare on Tuesday and will run until Thursday.

The MTR is being co-chaired by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Professor Amon Murwira and Zambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mulambo Haimbe.

“The meeting will deliberate on the status of implementation of the decisions of the 18th Session of the JPCC that was held in Harare in March 2024 and develop strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation,” Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ministry spokesperson, Ms Philisiwe Chidawanyika, said in a statement.

“The JPCC stands as a testament to the unwavering resolve to further solidify the excellent and enduring historic bond between the two countries and people for mutual benefit and shared prosperity.”
