Zimbabwe hosts major Air Traffic Control conference

THE 36th International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations (IFATCA) Africa and Middle East Regional Meeting has commenced here in Victoria Falls, drawing key figures from the aviation industry across the region.

The opening ceremony will see the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Felix Mhona, represented by his Deputy, Joshua Sacco, officially opening the conference.

The programme will feature a series of high-level addresses from Matabelleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Richard Moyo, IFATCA’s Executive Vice President for the region, Ahmad Abba, and its global President, Helena Sjöström Falk.

The ministerial perspectives are set to be further enriched by contributions from the aviation ministers of Nigeria and Ghana.

A key highlight will be the ministerial panel discussion focusing on Policy Leadership for a Safer Sky, which will delve into strategic human capital development in air traffic management.
