Zimbabwe Republic Police, Botswana Police Services security meetings continue in Harare

The Bi-National Commission meeting between the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) and the Botswana Police Service is continuing, with both police services engaged in security deliberations for the benefit of the two countries.

On Sunday, Police Commissioner-General Stephen Mutamba and his Botswana counterpart, Dinah Marathe, first led the two police services on the sidelines of the 5th Session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission, which began in Harare.

The Police services are part of senior government officials from both countries participating in the Bi-National Commission meetings running from April 19 to 22, 2026.

The meeting is being attended by senior police officers from both countries, and it is aimed at strengthening cooperation, joint border patrols and combating stock theft.

President Mnangagwa and Botswana President Duma Boko will co-preside over the Fifth Session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission scheduled for April 22 in Harare.
