ZIMBABWE Revenue Authority (Zimra) is hosting a stakeholders’ meeting in Bulawayo on the sidelines of the ongoing Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), as part of efforts to strengthen engagement with taxpayers.
The meeting is designed to create a platform for constructive dialogue between Zimra and taxpayers, whose contributions are critical in sustaining Government programmes through revenue mobilisation.

Zimra officials said this year’s ZITF theme, “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries,” resonates with the authority’s mandate and evolving service delivery model.
They noted that the concept of connected economies enhances visibility of transactions, while competitive industries broaden taxable activities.

Added to that these elements enable a wider, fairer and more sustainable revenue collection system.
The meeting has drawn a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from local authorities, freight and logistics companies, as well as financial institutions.
