ZIMBABWE National Army graduands at the Imbizo Barracks have congratulated the new ZNA Commander, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Matatu, on his recent appointment.
Just before Lieutenant General’s keynote address at the pass out parade for 489 recruits, parade commander Lieutenant Colonel Tapiwa Makaya led the brief congratulatory ceremony.
“Recruit training depot course 38A/01/24 would like to congratulate you on the recent elevation to the rank of Lieutenant General and subsequent appointment as Commander ZNA. We would like to wish you wisdom, strength as you lead the ZNA into the future,” said Lieutenant Colonel Makaya.
Lieutenant General Matatu was appointed to his new post by President Mnangagwa towards the end of March this year.
Today’s pass-out parade is his maiden as the ZNA Commander.
