Elias Sibanda, the district chairperson of the league said the community will have an opportunity to get tested and also be educated about the dangers of HIV/Aids pandemic.
“A team will be available to assist those that want to undergo voluntary testing and counselling. We want to educate the community about the deadly disease and explain the importance of knowing one’s status,” Sibanda said.
Siabanga, Sikalenge, Binga Stars, Makmeats, Zambezi Tigers, Kujatana, Hunters, Prison, CMED, Croc Farm and Twalyokezya will take part in the tournament which will be a knockout competition.
The two winning teams that excel in the preliminaries will then join the top six teams and play in the quarter-finals.
Quarter-finals will be played next week on Saturday while the semi-finals and the final will be played the following day on Sunday.
Binga High School will play Manjolo High School as guest teams while the senior members of the community will also play the International Volunteers team from the UK who are visiting Binga.
Prizes will be revealed on the day of the event.
