1000 bicycles given to dip tank attendants

The Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development ministry has equipped Chinyabowa dip tank attendants in Zvimba with over 1000 bicycles.

The bicycles will go a long way in ensuring greater mobility and ease of movement between dip tanks and front-line force in the war against January disease.

Chinyabowa is one of many dip tanks that have been built or rehabilitated by Zvimba Rural District Council in the area to complement government’s efforts in the fight against livestock diseases.

Most of the dip tanks have been constructed and or renovated using devolution funds with the community providing labour and bricks.

Permanent Secretary in the ministry Dr John Basera handed over the bicycles on Wednesday.
