adminChelsea Chipendo a 12-year old preacher managed to wow the crowd of about 55 000 at the just ended UMC Edenezer Convention held at National Sports Stadium.
Chelsea’s sermon ran under the theme, ‘‘Victory is certain’’ touched many hearts resulting in her being applauded by the bishops in the UMC. In an interview with CLS, she said her sermon was inspired by the societal setting.
“I pray first before I preach. I am happy that my pastor and family have been my greatest source of inspiration. The convention is just the beginning of the new world,” she said.
Not to be left out was Tapiwa Makamba, (12) who also shook the stadium with his bible verse inspirational rhymes. Tapiwa said poetry was his passion .
“This is just the beginning of the new world. Performing in front of thousands of people is a stepping stone for me. I thank the organisers for giving me this platform,” he said.
Both children are writing their Grade Seven examinations this year and had a blessing from the congregants and bishops. – CL Reporter
