POLICE in Bulawayo have launched investigations into a chilling murder case after the bloodied body of an unidentified man believed to be in his late 40s was discovered dumped on a concrete sewage pipe in a bushy area linking Entumbane and Emakhandeni suburbs.

The gruesome discovery, made by a 15-year-old boy on his way to Entumbane Complex last Wednesday morning, has left residents shaken and raised fears over the circumstances surrounding the brutal killing.

According to police, the teenager stumbled upon the lifeless body at around 9AM and immediately alerted authorities.

The deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was found lying motionless on top of a concrete sewer pipe in a secluded area between the two high-density suburbs.

According to Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, the deceased was dressed in blood-soaked clothing and had sustained three stab wounds.

Insp Msebele appealed to members of the public for information that could assist investigators in tracking down the perpetrators.

“Police in Bulawayo are investigating a case of murder, which occurred in Entumbane, Bulawayo, where an unknown adult was found dead with stab wounds,” said Insp Msebele.

She said the deceased was wearing a red T-shirt, a black jacket, white trousers, a black belt and a pair of black-and-white Adidas tennis shoes.

“On June 10, 2026 at around 0900 hours, a 15-year-old male juvenile was on his way to Entumbane Complex when he saw a lifeless body of the now deceased lying on a concrete sewage pipe in a bushy area linking Emakhandeni and Entumbane suburbs,” said Insp Msebele.

“The deceased is believed to be in his late 40s and had three stab wounds. He was wearing blood-soaked clothes and had a bunch of keys with a key holder inscribed ‘T. Ncube’,” she added.

Police suspect the victim may have been attacked elsewhere before his body was dumped in the isolated area.
Insp Msebele said, following the discovery, officers attended the scene and the body was later conveyed to the United

Bulawayo Hospitals mortuary for a post-mortem.

She said investigations into the case are ongoing.

“We appeal to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the accused persons to report to the nearest police station,” she said.

Insp Msebele also urged families with missing relatives matching the victim’s description to visit the United Bulawayo Hospitals mortuary for identification.

“We also advise members of the public with a missing relative matching the above description to visit United Bulawayo Hospitals for body identification,” she said.

The shocking discovery has sent ripples through the Entumbane and Emakhandeni communities, with residents expressing concern over violent crimes and calling for increased police patrols in isolated areas.

Insp Msebele said cases involving unidentified bodies continue to present challenges for investigators, who often rely on members of the public to establish the identities of victims and reconstruct their final movements.

Police have repeatedly urged residents to avoid travelling alone at night, particularly through bushy or isolated areas, and to promptly report suspicious activities.
