LIBYAN Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Ta-her Elmagrahi faces deportation after Government yesterday said his defection to the NATO-backed National Transitional Council means he no longer respresents the Libyan Government.
Zimbabwe has no diplomatic relations with rebels who now claim to be in control of Libya.
The rebels this week claimed to have ta-ken control of Libya after its leader Muammar Gaddafi reportedly fled and his whereabouts are still unknown.
Ambassador Elmagrahi defected to the rebels on Wednesday and hoisted the NTC flag at the Libyan Embassy in Harare.

Horror crash claims 20

TWENTY people died while 26 others were injured – five of them seriously – when a Chawasarira bus burst a front tyre while overtaking and sideswiped a haulage truck 58km along the Harare-Bulawayo Road yesterday morning.
The Chivi-bound bus burst its right front tyre and sideswiped the truck which was going in the opposite direction, killing 18 people on the spot.
A Lofombo bus which was being overtaken swerved off the road and landed on its side, killing one person, who became the nineteenth person to die on the spot.
One more passenger died on admission to Parirenyatwa Hospital.
