African economies defy global trend: UN
ADDIS ABABA. – Africa’s economy continues its strong march towards recovery, defying the global trend, according to the United Nations economic report of 2012. The World Economic Situation and Prospects 2012, which was launched on Tuesday, forecasts Africa to see an increase in its overall growth from 2.7 percent in 2011 to 5.0 percent in 2012 and 5.1 percent in 2013.
