Civil servants unions divided over strike

THE Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) has distanced itself from the agreement reached on Wednesday between the Apex Council and Public Service Minister Lucia Matibenga.
Civil servants representatives and Minister Matibenga agreed that she would by Tuesday next week give them a viable salary offer, failure to which Government workers would stage a one-day strike on Thursday. The Apex Council is the body that represents all civil servants.
