Service chiefs’ office terms extended

PRESIDENT Mugabe has extended the terms of office of all service chiefs as provided for by the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri’s term of office has been extended to 2014.
The length of the extension of the terms of Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces General Constantine Chiwenga, Zimbabwe National Army Lieutenant-General Philip Valerio Sibanda, Air Force of Zimbabwe Air Marshal Perrence Shiri and Commissioner of Prisons Retired Major-General Paradzai Zimondi, will be announced as and when their current ones expire.
