Dzumbunu appeals for numbers at Saints AGM

Zimbabwe Saints Football Club outgoing chairman Felix Dzumbunu has appealed to club members to come in their numbers to attend Sunday’s annual general meeting at the clubhouse in Queens Park East.
“The annual general meeting is an important gathering for the club. It is where the club’s performance of the previous year is discussed and plans for the ensuing year formulated,” said Dzumbunu.
He said the future of the club lay in active participation by members.
Basketball teams converge on Gweru

Player agents cry foul over proposed $10 000 licence fee

LOCAL players’ agents could be heading for a collision with the Zifa assembly after a resolution was passed to charge a fee of $10 000 for the licensed football agents to operate.
At their meeting at the weekend, the Zifa assembly agreed to charge a fee for all the operating football agents but the association for players’ managers, through its president Omega Sibanda yesterday came out fighting and said such a decision “is unfortunate”.

Ex-auctioneer remanded on vehicle theft charge

ONCE prominent Bulawayo auctioneer, Raphael John Masuku, appeared in court yesterday together with another person facing charges of stealing a motor vehicle valued at $16 000.
Masuku (48), of Number 5 Blencow Road, Greenhill and Tendai Rudolph Kambare (24), of Number 24 Welford Road in Montrose were not formally charged when they briefly appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Victor Mpofu.
