Kirsty undecided about future

SWIMMING legend and one of Zimbabwe’s great sportspersons Kirsty Coventry is still to decide about her future in the sport.

Coventry who was in Bulawayo during the weekend told Chronicle Sport that she is yet to make a decision regarding her future in sports.

Nama nominees out today

The much awaited list of the annual National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) nominees is set to be released today.

The crème de la crème of the country’s artistes are set to converge in Bulawayo for the ceremony to be held at the Large City Hall on 16 February.

Traffic Safety Council unveils Byo ambassadors

TRAFFIC Safety Council of Zimbabwe will today unveil traffic safety ambassadors who will operate from Bulawayo.

The four ambassadors are Majahawodwa Ndlovu a.k.a Jeys Marabini, Sandra Ndebele, Peter Ndlovu and Rahman Gumbo.

City club puts jazz to the test

Club Forty40 will tonight test the viability of their proposed Wednesday Jazz night when they host guitarist Hudson Simbarashe at their joint.

Simbarashe, who launched his album Chenga Ose in December, is one of the most prominent jazz musicians in the city.

Government has not increased civil servants salaries despite an undertaking by Finance Minister Tendai Biti to award an inflation-related salary increment with effect from last month.

Minister Biti who made the announcement just before the presentation of the national budget last November, said the wage increase was a top priority for Government.
