THE Senator for Beitbridge Cde Tambudzani Mohadi has called for urgent efforts to rehabilitate roads and bridges, which were recently damaged by floods.

In an interview yesterday, Senator Mohadi said the affected communities were no longer able to access key services because of the damaged road infrastructure.

Former cop nabbed for robbery

A former police officer from Masvingo acting in concert with his nephew allegedly robbed a foreign currency dealer of $1 500 after masquerading as serving police officers.

Charles Mupasi (25) and his nephew Lovemore Mununi (25) of Mupasi Village under Chief Munyikwa in Gutu pleaded not guilty when they jointly appeared before Masvingo provincial magistrate Ms Dorothy Mwanyisa to answer charges of impersonating police officers.

Bulilima RDC releases $44 000 for projects

BULILIMA Rural District Council has released $44 000 in the first quarter for funding major outstanding projects within the district’s 22 wards.

Bulilima chief executive officer, Mr John Brown Ncube said the rural district council was yet to decide on the amount that would be released in the second quarter.
