CCZ petitions Parliament

The Consumer Council of Zimbabwe on Wednesday petitioned Parliament to pass a consumer protection law which it said was long overdue.
The CCZ has been lobbying Government since 2010 to enact the Consumer Protection Act.

Chinese firm to build six chrome smelters

Chinese firm, Afrochine Smelting said on Wednesday it will commission two chrome smelters in June. Afrochine plans to build six smelters with capacity to produce 50 000 metric tonnes of ferrochrome per year.

Ecobank returns to profitability

Ecobank Zimbabwe bounced back to profitability for the year ended December 31 2012, posting a net profit of US$306 000 from a US$5,9 million loss the previous year.
