2016, the snare is broken!

Apostle Pertunia Chiriseri
IF it had not been for the Lord who was on our side, now may Zimbabwe say, then the waters would have overwhelmed us … the snare is broken, like a bird we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Zimbabweans kiss 2015 goodbye with shouts of Ebenezer and the above paraphrases from Psalms 124:1, 4, 6-8.
Zimbabwe enters 2016 with the prophetic declaration, the snare is broken and like a bird we are escaped!
Choosing to lay aside every weight and sin that ensnares us as a nation; rejecting the greed, corruption, confusion, the spiritual, financial and health calamities caused by conmen repackaged as false prophets and other undesirables.
In spite of this, Zimbabweans remain a winning team. We always make a plan! We have done it again, we can do it yet again next year!
As a nation we go into 2016 resolute about our identity and values: we are God — fearing, hard working, peace loving, respectful, prayerful and positive people. We pray for our leaders as the Bible commands us.
We thank God for our President, RG Mugabe, and Amai for making us proudly Zimbabwean, holding our own.
The failures and disappointments of 2015, let’s shake them off as we do the dust.
Let’s press on for things to come, for the reward of righteous living in Christ Jesus (Phillipians 3:13). While we address past wrongs let’s avoid acrimony, anger and bitterness.
They will kill us.
Zimbabwe, let’s go into 2016 better and not bitter. We are one people, so let’s face the challenges of 2016 as a united nation despite our differences. Let’s together build healthier, happier homes with heaps of hope!
No matter what happened or didn’t happen, let’s confront issues peacefully, decently and in order, forgive and lift one another up, as we run our different races looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
There’s a prophetic word over Zimbabwe that we must together pursue in prayer and fasting; in strategic planning, action and focus; committing our ways to the Lord always (Proverbs 3:1-5); declaring persistently, in 2016, the snare is broken and like a bird we are escaped. Zimbabwe will fly high again. For with God all things are possible.
Enjoy a blessed and prosperous New Year, Zimbabwe.
