GMB manager, wife arrested

A GRAIN Marketing Board (GMB) Gweru depot manager and his wife have been arrested for fraud after they allegedly transferred over $25 000 into the depot’s account before demanding the same amount in cash. Lazarus Vhengere and his wife Tanatsiwa Munyanyiwa appeared before Gweru magistrate Mr Progress Murandu last week for initial remand.

Illegal fuel dealer jailed

A MUTARE man has been slapped with 30 days in prison by a citymagistrate after he was found selling diesel without a licence. Temptation Makorera (23) of house number 4 Murahwa Industrial Site, Green Market, Sakubva, was charged with contravening Section 29(1) of the Petroleum Act (Chapter 13:22).

Gweru avails 500 vending stalls

GWERU City Council has availed over 500 vending stalls to accommodate vendors who have been selling their products at undesignated points.
