GOVERNMENT has introduced stringent measures to help protect the national beef and dairy herd from various tick-borne diseases.  Speaking to farmers in Hurungwe district on Tuesday, Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development permanent secretary, Dr John Basera, warned farmers against being reluctant to dip their cattle.

THE Zimbabwe Government has initiated a self-assessment exercise of the entire local diamond value chain, in preparation for a mandatory Kimberly Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) evaluation in May, and is aiming to set a high benchmark of compliance to the requirements of the global diamond watchdog.
