THE 2025/26 domestic cricket season is set to get underway this weekend with two matches lined up for the opening week.
Logan Cup matches will get the season underway on Sunday.
Tuskers will host Southern Rocks at Queens Sports Club, while Rhinos will take on Eagles at Kwekwe Sports Club. Defending champions in both the red-ball and 50-over formats, Mega Market Mountaineers, who have won the Logan Cup in consecutive seasons, will be on a bye in the opening week of action.
Following the red-ball matches, the same teams will shift their focus to Pro50 Championship games, which will be played at the same venues on October 31.
Mountaineers will begin their title defence against Tuskers at Queens Sports Club. In the same week, Rhinos will face Southern Rocks at Kwekwe Sports Club. Logan Cup fixtures are scheduled for November 6-9, while Pro50 games will take place on November 11. Eagles will be on a bye that week.
The following week, from November 17–20, Mountaineers will host Southern Rocks at Mutare Sports Club in the Logan Cup, while Eagles entertain Tuskers at Harare Sports Club. Pro50 matches will be held on November 22 at the same venues. Rhinos will have a bye in the third round of matches.
From November 28 to December 1, the fourth round of Logan Cup fixtures will see Eagles take on Mountaineers at Harare Sports Club, while Tuskers face Rhinos at Queens Sports Club. Pro50 Championship clashes will follow on December 3 at the same venues.
In the fifth round, Tuskers will be on a bye as Mountaineers host Rhinos at Mutare Sports Club and Southern Rocks go up against Eagles at Masvingo Sports Club in Logan Cup matches scheduled for December 9-12. Pro50 Championship fixtures will then be played on December 14, marking the end of the first leg of matches in both competitions.
