“The calendar provides the framework for the three school terms, including opening and closing dates, school days and public holidays. It is intended to support orderly planning and effective delivery of the curriculum throughout the year,” he said.
Mr Ndoro added that the calendar must be utilised for a productive and successful learning year.
“The Ministry, therefore, urges all schools, parents and guardians to familiarise themselves with the calendar and make the necessary preparations to ensure a smooth start and uninterrupted learning throughout the 2027 academic year.
The 2027 School Calendar further provides for the opening of schools on Tuesday, January 12, 2027, with the academic year running across three terms. The Ministry wishes all learners, teachers, parents and the entire education community a productive and successful 2027 academic year,” he said.
