26 Zanu-PF staff members test positive for Covid-19

THE ruling party, Zanu-PF, has announced that 26 members have tested positive for Covid-19 after routine testing and screening  at the party’s headquarters in Harare.

In a statement, acting  spokesperson Cde Patrick Chinamasa said after 26 staff members tested positive at party headquarters in the capital, the party will now extend its testing programme to district and provincial workers.

“In compliance with the World Health Organisation protocols requiring institutions and individuals to be tested for Covid-19, ZANU-PF directed that its staff members be tested for Covid-19,” Cde Chinamasa said in a statement.

“The total number of personal who underwent mandatory testing on 28 July 20120 is 152. The results have just come out showing that 26 tested positive to Covid-19.

Those affected are being informed. Those that have since been informed have been advised to go into self isolation in line with World Health Organisation (WHO)  protocols on Covid-19.”
