TWENTY-EIGHT candidates have advanced to the final stage of interviews for eight Labour Court judge positions, as announced by the Judicial Services Commission (JSC).
This milestone follows the first round of interviews, which drew an initial pool of 44 applicants and was conducted last week in Harare.
The JSC said the successful candidates will soon be invited to the next stage of the selection process.
The JSC, responsible for overseeing judicial appointments and the broader administration of justice, conducted the shortlisting process with a firm commitment to legal standards and procedural fairness.
Underpinned by the Constitution of Zimbabwe and the Judicial Service (Code of Ethics) Regulations of 2012, the process emphasises transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of judicial excellence.
The shortlisted candidates are : Bepura Innocent, Bhebhe Chipo, Chivasa Estere, Chiwaridzo Marko Tafirenyika, Gapara Martin Ray, Gatawa Tinevimbo, Gonesi Evidence, Hare Mary-Grace Nyarai, Hove Thompson, Jaravani Motion, Machingauta Naison, Makwande Bianca, Manwere Taurai, Mapara Edward, Mapendere Elias Zanondonga, Masango Joseph, Mawire Johnlife Tungamirai, Mupeiwa Nowell, Mupindu Sandra, Murambasvina Ignatious, Mzyece Rodin, Ndirowei Donald Osmond, Nzero Ignatious, Rutanhira Archford, Tsikwa Clever Garikai, Unzemoyo Godfrey Simbarashe, Ziyaduma Garudzo, and Zuyu Judith Dudzai.
