3 test positive for Covid-19

ZIMBABWE recorded three Covid-19 cases on 16 April as the country continues vaccinating eligible citizens with the aim of at least inoculating 10 million to achieve herd immunity.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show that since the outbreak was first recorded in Zimbabwe in March 2020, 264 613 cases have been recorded.

No deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours.

“In terms of vaccination update, 6 560 people received the first Covid-19 vaccine bringing cumulative to 7 078 263 while 11 361 people received their second dose bringing cumulative to 5 296 388. Another total of 5 503 people received their third dose bringing cumulative dose to 1 830 200. As of Sunday, Zimbabwe had recorded 264 613 Covid-19 cases including 258 860 recoveries and 5 684 deaths,” read the report.
